Learning to spot danger

1-Don't zone out!

Zoning out will be your biggest challenge to face if you are to remain vigilant.

Keep your eyes moving and get used to the normals in your circumstances, that way when something changes you know.

2-Hone your instincts.

If something happens, note what the dangerous person looked like. Pay attention to similar people in the future. Remember if it seems weird, it probably is. Never discount your red flags. Just because nothing happened doesn't mean that something isn't wrong.

3-Know your surroundings.

Use different things to check around you. If you're shopping, look at an item on the shelf, even if you don't need it, use that opportunity to check the aisle behind you.

If you're walking on a trail, take a selfie to make sure no one is following you.

Look around but be creative, don't look scared.
