As warriors in the body of Christ we have a double bound to encourage and help each other.
But in all reality sometimes it is hard to know how to strengthen others, especially if they give the impression that they need nothing in the world. So here is a list of ideas of how to encourage those that pretend they don't need it.
1- Caffeinate them.
I kid you not this will work every time. Get them their favorite caffeine vessel.
2- Make them a playlist.
Spend a little bit of your time to put together a playlist of songs that remind you of them.
3- Do some random act of specific kindness.
Do a chore for them that you know they hate. Bonus points if you do it without them knowing.
4- Write out your prayer for them.
This is something my mom does and it's a life changer. Simply to write out what you are praying for them just touches something deep inside.
5- Make a pinterest board of their aesthetic.
Remember that being known is being loved, so showing all those random things you remember about them is a really loving touch.
6- Send them something in the mail.
Mail them a letter with something random in it. Your favorite tea bag, a sticker, or bible verse. Be creative, pretty much anything that is flatish will send, so send it.
7- Random instagram post of appreciation.
Post your favorite pic of them or a memory that you share. Risk your ‘coolness’ on your social media account and be a crazy supportive friend.
8- Take them on an all expense paid ‘trip’ to somewhere.
It doesn't have to be much, a trip to the movies or a dollar tree expedition.
9- Get them their pre workout or protein powder.
Find their brand and buy it. It's kinda on the expensive side but this will really make someone feel loved.
10- Do whatever it takes to make their workout how they like it.
This one is a little wack but hear me out. I like to have support from a distance when I work out. I'd love a text, an encouraging snap, a smile from across the gym ect. Some like to be left alone so make sure they are. Some like to do couple type work out and do that with them. This will show that they are known especially when they are working out.
Well not everyone feels love the same way, these are all pretty safe bets for any person. Remember that being known is being loved. And finding your own unique ways to encourage someone is part of sowing you are trying but this Is a great start.
